175th Anniversary

  HISTORIC 1835 SERVICE A SUCCESS

A special thanks to  everyone who made the historic 1835 service for the 175
th Anniversary Kick-Off such a wonderful experience last Sunday.  Even though the weather was not the best, the attendance was great and it was special to have so many of our Fifty Year Members with us.  Arrangements are being made to reach those who could not attend.  If you're interested in a video copy ($10 each) or a program of the service, please contact the church office.

As always, there were a number of folks behind the scenes making sure everything went smoothly.  A big thanks to the following:

*
The cast for their parts and leadership in the service: Dr. John Chenault, Dr. Tim Murtaugh, Mr. Grant Satterly, Mr. Raymond Webb, Mr. Mike Gevedon, and Dr. Carl Smith;
*
Dr. John Chenault for his marvelous message and portrait of history;
*
The ushers in costume under the direction of Mr. Gene Flynn;
*
The choir leading the congregational singing under the direction of Dr. Carl Smith;
*
The costuming coordination by Mrs. Jean Anne Webb;
*
The set design, construction, and set-up by Mr. Russ McClure, Mr. Larry Ellis, Mr. Jim Judge, and Mr. Tim Doyle;
*
The newspaper coverage by Rev. Phil Case and Mrs. Susanna Thurston;
*
The sound system, service recording, and Cable 10 televising by Mr. Gary Grider, Mrs. Marion Smith, and Mr. Bill Barnes;
*
The delicious meal following the service coordinated by Mrs. Naomi Kitchen, Mrs. Diana Stewart, and the ladies of our congregation;
*
The chairing of the service committee by Mr. Bob Bates;
